EU Munich visits Allianz



In April a group 14 BBA students from EU Munich were accompanied by Dean Michael Epping on a visit to the Allianz Headquarters in Munich. Allianz is one of the biggest insurance and financial services providers which also owns a variety of financial companies, including Dresdner Bank.

EU students were shown a presentation which was given by three different marketing employees of the company with the focus on how Allianz has managed to develop from a traditional German national insurance company into a global financial services provider. Allianz has done this through a combination of P&C, Life+Health, Asset Management and Banking, all component services that it offers all over the world.
Allianz’s marketing plans are equally as ambitious as they plan to increase brand awareness through a global marketing campaign that includes sponsorship of a Formula One team and of Germany’s most successful football club, FC Bayern. This strategy has proven to be successful in Europe but even more so in Asia where interest in football and motor sports has increased dramatically.
